Metabolic encephalopathy, hypertensive encephalopathy, cerebrovascular events, and new-onset seizures have all been reported in organ-transplant recipients. Infections can be caused by listeria, cryptococcus, nocardia, aspergillus and mucor. Toxoplasma, coccidia, cytomegalovirus (CMV) and herpes infections are also reported.
