	<abstract>&lt;strong&gt;Background: &lt;/strong&gt;Researchers have contributed to the definition of SoTL; however, the literature is not conclusive on its definitions and attributes. Therefore, this study was an attempt to precisely define SoTL by its attributes, antecedents and consequences.&lt;br&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;strong&gt;Methods: &lt;/strong&gt;The Walker and Avant (2011) concept analysis method was used.&lt;span dir=&quot;RTL&quot;&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;strong&gt;Results&lt;/strong&gt;: The 9 emerged attributes are: Committed engagement in action, Critique-based, Disciplinary, Context-oriented, Critical enquiry process, Continuous deep reflection, Dynamic process, Shared publicly, and Learning focused.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Conclusion:&lt;/strong&gt; This study helps promote understanding and application of SoTL.&lt;br&gt;
